Cover image translation

  • I hail from a small town in the post-colonial British India, popularly known as the subcontinent of India.

  • I started my astronomy journey as an amateur astronomer. I like gazing double or binary stars, and planets occasionally.

  • For me, art and science are complementary. I am a logophile and like to write articles and poems on my Blog. (See my eBook Universe's Verses). Moreover, I’m a student of Indian classical vocal music as well, which helps me self-regulate.

  • Sports have always been quite important to me. I play table tennis at the district-level (Australia rank). Other sports I like to play are chess, badminton, cricket, and soccer. Competition helps me with discipline, teamwork, and concentration.

  • I like learning certain languages, too. I am bilingual (English and Hindi). However, I have also learned the basics of three other languages. I find that each new language opens up more ways of being effable.

Here's my SETI signal — (Resonant Minds)

Following is the information about my research experience (CV) and interests.

Research interests:

Broadly, my research interests are frequency-domain astronomy and radiative transfer.

I choose astronomy over astrophysics because I understand how fallible assumptions in physics are.

Physics of earthly phenomena is much better constrained due to ease of experimentation and tangibility. For astrophysics, the weakness of cosmic photons and the degeneracy in distance to celestial objects throws us off into rabbit holes.
